Serge Smilovich

SERGE SMILOVICH holds a Master in Composition at Tel Aviv University and Economist at the Buenos Aires University and a Certificate from the Buenos Aires Conservatorium as a Saxophonist. He is also a flutist and music teacher.

He worked at the Rubin Academy (Tel Aviv University), as a composer and as a sound engineer, representing the Tel Aviv University at several musical festivals, with a variety of electroacoustic pieces, symphonic works and chamber music. In 1993 he won the first prize in composition in Israel “Price Liberson”, with my piece “Eclesiastes 1992”, for soprano and string quartet.

He also worked at the DIEM, in Denmark, where he composed the electroacoustic work “A Man”. Since 1994 he has worked as general director and sound engineer at his own recording studio Grial Producciones. At Grial he produces and coordinates musical productions, and multimedia artistic events. Doing all recording, editing, and mastering of live concerts for radio programs.

As a composer of modern music he has created more than 100 works, which have been performed by orchestras in Argentina, Israel and Europe. He has composed a lot of electroacoustic pieces that were broadcast by the Israeli and Argentinian Radio, and played in many festivals in Israel, Europe, USA and Argentina.
