Philip McConnell
 Biography

PHILIP MCCONNELL (b. January 18, 1945) earned his PhD in musicology from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, where he was also awarded the Cronshaw Prize for composition in 1964. His orchestral and chamber works have been performed in Canada, England, Germany, Macedonia, Spain, Israel and the United States. A resident of Canada since 1970, he now teaches composition, strings, music history and theory in the Claude Watson Arts Program in North York, Ontario.
