Oliver Whitehead
 Biography

OLIVER WHITEHEAD (1948-) earned a degree from Princeton University in 1970, as well as two from the University of Toronto (Ph.D., 1978). His jazz album Free for now was nominated for a Juno Award as the best jazz record in 1984, and he has released 5 other disks with the Oliver Whitehead Quintet. His list of compositions includes works for orchestra, a world-music mass for 2 choirs and instruments, an oratorio, ballets, TV soundtracks, radio themes, and theatre works.
