David Passmore

DAVID PASSMORE (b. 1954) holds a Masters degree in composition from the University of Toronto. He is a composer, teacher and keyboard player and has worked as an arranger for Music at Sharon, the Bach-Elgar Choir and the CBC. Though Mr. Passmore, as Director of Music at Bloor Street United Church in Toronto, has written his share of choral and organ music for communions and processionals, he has seen equal success as a composer of oftimes quite hilarious secular choral works. These include his Insect-Asides and a setting of several Dennis Lee ditties, Jelly Belly. He is also the author of the vaudeville revues for children, Little Red and Bears, Bears, Bears!, produced by Tapestry Music Theatre in the 1980s.
